What Do You Think Is The Best Movie of All Time?

For me, it's Gladiator.

Shawshank Redemption is a close 2nd though.

There's a lot of movies I loved, but once seen, I don't care to watch again. How can you consider it 'Best movie of all time', if you only want to watch it once? So many movies are totally dependent on a surprise, twist ending. Mysteries and thrillers aren't much fun to watch, once you know how they end. My list of best movies would be restricted to DVDs I'd want to actually buy, and watch over and over. Those generally are comedies and music videos:

• Monty Python and the Holy Grail
• Pink Floyd The Wall
• Airplane!
• Animal House
• Caddyshack
• Blazing Saddles
• Spaceballs
• Pink Floyd: Delicate Sound of Thunder
• Stop Making Sense...

There are many better movies, but these are must have for any DVD collection. I simply won't buy videos of most other epic films. I've seen 'em once, that's enough. I have The Matrix in my collection... still wrapped in cellophane!

it's about an SS colonel that has plastic surgery done and becomes a jew.
