Im 6 feet even, 230. I need to knock off about 30 more lbs...been working at it for a while, having fun, feeling good, getting strong, but i need to make a change.

I had been doing 5 days a week at the gym, Mon-Fri with about 45 minutes of weight training and 30 minutes of cardio. The weight portion I divided into chest/tri, back/bi, legs. For cardio i would do 30 minutes of stair, elliptical, or run 2 miles and walk the remainder. That is what i was doing.

What I think I would like to do now is do a full body workout every other day, and a full hour of cardio inbetween, and rest on one of the weekend days.

Weight Days (Mon/Wed/Fri)
Flat Bench
Squat
Deadlift
Military press
Chin Up
Dips

Cardio Days (Tues/Thurs/Sat)
2 Mile Jog
Alternate Elliptical HIIT
With Stairclimber

My main goal is losing 30 more lbs, but working on strength is much more easy on the mind. Im thinking i can make my splits like that and just dial in my diet better. I think i probably need to eat a little more than i have been (1500) /day so i dont feel like eating the whole house on the weekends.

Let me know what you think, if there are any glaring problems with my train of thought.
