who would but a big brown box out side there case. Well with that just get water cooling or try that see how low the temps go down.

Now that I looked at it again there will be a lot of air going in and it will hit the hardware with air and just stay there and air pressure will push it out of the case you will need power full exust fans to get the air outi would think it will hit the mobo and then the air will bounce up and back and saty in there untill it get near the rear fans does your case have a place for front fans well if it does then put more fans there for exaust to get the air out so it does not stay around for a wile.

I dont need any exhast fans, air pressure alone will move the air out of my case via all the vents (i will remove all fans except CPU). Incase it wasnt clear from the diagram, there is supposed to be a plexiglass windtunnel connecting the boxffan to the case. Air will be hitting the case at HIGH speeds.

Anyone have recommendations for industrial strength box fans? Noise is not an issue, i want this rig to sound like a jet.

Actually, i want it so loud that i go deaf. This way i'll be able to fix the sound problem once and for all.

such a big fan would be overkill.... temps arn't gonna be any lower than the air outside anyways...

It'll cool a lot better than regular air cooling, but it still won't be as good as water cooling. You'll probably accumulate a lot of dust in your case too.

just use a walmart box fan... there is no need for an industrial strength fan.

hmmm, can you overclock a box fan?

but seriously, that looks fun. i'm sure your system would stay nice and cool. the inches of dust caked on everything would just add to the awesome-factor.

I think you can :p. When we had some new wood working put in at my Bro's house, they had an inverter that they rigged into the fuse box to get 240 Volts. then they could control how many volts went to the fan with the inverter. You should have seen that thing flying at 240 Volts. That way you can say "I got an OC'ed Box fan and Athlon 64" :p
