What do you think about the Tsunami in Asia?

And it wasen't the worst 150ad there was one that was bigger..the Alaskan event of the 60's didn't kill as many people but was due to a large off shore earthquake..and many others through out natural history. Hardly unique. And don't forget the calamity volcanoes caused through out history..and the impact craters in Arizona..the Caribbean and Canada and a few in former USSR countries.

Personally, I feel pretty bad about it. My parents are from one of the cities that was hit hard (Madras) in Tamil Nadu in India. Fortunately, I didn't lose any relatives or family friends. However, my best friend's home town in Sri Lanka was completely wiped out in the tsunami along with his fiance (arranged marriage) and many of his relatives and close family friends. I think that's roughly the most horrible thing that can happen to anyone. Knowing someone personally who's lost so much, the tsunami just had a much greater impact on me than did anybody who's never even been to that side of the world.

ill be one of the ones to say it puts a lot of guilt in my head. mainly beause people over there would trade anything in their power to have just a quarter or my lifestyle.

my heart goes out to the victims and families of victims over there. God Bless

I think the Tsunami was horrible... An act of god.. can't get out of the way of something like that. That's one of the possible risks of being along the coast though.
