What do you think about the Microsoft Intellimouse.

How you doing, just wanted to know what you guys think about the microsoft intellimouse and the quality of it and should i buy it 49.99................any advice would be appreciated.

excellent mouse. it's what i use, haven't had any problems with it at all. Love it. I recommend you get this mouse.

If you are referring to the Intellimouse Explorer 3.0[ then I say you are in for a treat. I find it to be one of the best mice I have used to this date. It fits your hand really well, and if you choose to install the intellipoint software it will give you a lot of customizations. The warranty is first class as well.

Its a nice mouse, but not at $50!

If you're going for $50, get the wireless logitech optical mouse!

Office Depot is having a special: $20 for an intellimouse optical (not explorer) and a free belkin surge protector

For $50 I assume you mean the Explorer variety? I own 2 of them. I bought one when it first hit the market. It lasted about 3 months and died. Got a replacement from M$. It died about 1 month later. Got another replacement. I've had it for quite a while now. Recently bought another for my wife. Great mouse.

I currently own and use the MS Intellimouse Explorer 2.0A and I have to tell you.. it's great... very accurate and it has that cool red glow .. besides that.. if you're gonna buy the updated MS Intellimouse Explorer 3.0, the ergonomics are improved drastically... so it feels more comfortable.. so no use in stalling... just buy it! It's an awesome product!

I got the older version of the intellimouse optical and it was jerky at first with a PS/2 connection. I changed to USB and it was suprisingly smoothed out.

I was gonna get an explorer 3.0 or logitech dual optic but my original intellimouse has worked flawlessly for over 2 years. I wouldn't get a cordless mouse because of the weight, speed, and batteries. If I had to choose again, I'd go with the new Explorer.

I have the Intellimouse Optical and love it. The latest revision is even better than the earlier one I had of it. My only complaint is the extra buttons aren't usable in Medal of Honor!

I have a Intellimouse Explorer (latest) no skipping, love it 😀

Dunno about the Intellimouse though. I assume its like the Explorer without the other buttons.
All good I say then

dads eh? I have that mouse, it glides, but its just smaller than my hand..

IMHO, Logitech mice are far superior to Microsoft's. Do yourself a favor and check out Logitech's wireless optical mouse before you drop $50 on the Intellimouse.

I'm wary of going with wireless on anything more critical than headphones. With my luck, the batteries would die right in the middle of an important project. Anyway, I have been quite pleased with my MS Wheelmouse Optical (basically a budget version of the Intellimouse, AFAIK). Logitech mice may be good (can't comment there, since I haven't experienced one), but I'd suggest, unless you don't care about the weight and battery life, to stick with either a MS or Logitech corded optical mouse.

Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer is the best mouse i've personally used.

The original versions 1.0-2.0 did have some problems here and there (basically a wire inside coming lose). Microsoft replaces all of these for free and is great about shipping it out overnight and 2nd day.

Right now i've got 5 Intellimouse Explorers in use. 2 of them are 3.0, and the rest are 2.0's.

The 3.0's are so much better though. They have a higher capture rate for the laser and run much smoother. The feel of the mouse is really nice. I think its a little bit lighter and just glides on my ratzpad like its on water.

Great mice.

i think the logitech mice feel more sturdy than the MS ones. don't know why that is, maybe its all the buttons and cutouts in the shell? love my mouseman usb. the blue glow is a lot nicer at night.

and optical mice don't have lasers! its a super-bright LED that lights up the surface for a digicam.

I wasn't impressed with the Intellimouse Explorer Optical it sux for gaming so I went back to the standard MS Wheel mouse

Listen to everybody. Go get the Logitech Optical mouse. It's superior.

I have intellimouse 3.0 and while it does the job. It doesn't quite fit your hand the way you want it to fit. The buttons are flimsy and the casing feels like I can squeeze it and shatter it. You will push the wrong buttons on your thumb buttons when playing intensive FPS game.

I have the Intellimouse Explorer 1.0 and in comparing it to the new 3.0, I like most of the new 3.0's shape, but I don't like the size of the two small buttons. The buttons on the 1.0 were better, and had a bit more resistance too which feels like a bit better quality.

What do you think about the Intellimouse Explorer Wireless? I saw one at Futureshop for $70 Canadian($43.75US). I have been considering one but I was wondering what other people who have had wireless mice think.

I've got an intellimouse Explorer (the original one), and it's been going strong for around 2 years. Very nice mouse, although when it dies, I'm probably going to get a logitech. I like the look and feel of them much more than than the intellimice.

i have a brand new in box still yet intellimouse explorer, ill sell it to you for 40.00 instead of 49.99.

free shipping too!

I have the old intellimouse and the new wireless intellimouse. I really liked the old guy, but I am very happy with this new wireless mouse. I am going to switch my machines over to the wireless. The wireless fits my hand nicely. It's the mouse comfortable mouse I have tried. It's just as accurate as the old intellimouse for me. My only concerns is having to replace batteries on a mouse.
