I think her voice and her music are both pretty much "standard R&B".
She's good at it, but she doesn't stand out much IMO.

Mostly single pop hits then and there. She has long way before she can become the next Mary J.

Mary J is pretty good in concert too.

Beyonce Knowles and Kelly Rowland has made a bigger move in hip hop scene than Mya has.

Its probably management and song selection thats holding her back. All I can remember her is from ghetto superstar.

Edit: I don't listen to modern r&b...old Motown is awesome though
