What do you think about an implant ID chip? Let?s say this chip would hold your medical, criminal and identification information and would be implanted in your hand. It could have a global positioning system, so if you are missing or lost you can be found. Only authorities could use the global positioning system. It would be used in emergencies when you can't talk or are passed out. It could also be used in airports to prove who you are. If a wanted criminal tries to get on a plane, the authorities would be alerted. What do you think? Would you want an implant ID chip?

I think the only way they implant one of those in me is if I am a corpse.

Nope, I would never do that. The world is growing with knowledge, but wisdom hasn't increased for while. This computer chip thing is not natural. Why do we insist to play god?

Yep. I've been doing some research and all the Biblicial people would bring up that it is the "Mark of the Beast."

<< " . . . and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: and that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name."

Why are some of you against it? I assume it is because of privacy, "big brother," and the wrong people getting a hold of it.

Conceptually, it sounds appealing... it offers security, protection, and convenience. However, in my opinon, the potential for abuse is simply too great to be downplayed or easily solved or bypassed.

In a nutshell, until they can ensure that only the "proper authorities" have access and will use it for only specific purposes, over my dead body.

Erm no thanks, we've lost enough freedoms as it is. I don't want 1984 where big brother knows who, what, where, and when of what I'm doing. Might as well bring in the 2 way tv's and the torture chambers next.
