What do you think about advertisements in topic summaries?

I keep on seeing threads with stuff like "NOW WITH POLL!" or "PICS INSIDE!!11" or "ADDED VID!!!!1" in the topic summaries, to get people to click on their thread. It's basically an advertisement. What do you think about this?
 
when threads have a poll, I tend to enjoy them more.. so, I tend to click on them.. and it's better when they say there's a poll because otherwise I might not know and therefore tend not to click even though I may tend to click if I would know

I hate ads...the purpose of the topic summary is to add any side notes you like that aren't included in the topic title.

Focus groups reveal that people are 90% more likely to enter a thread with a nice advertisement in the topic summary. Who am I to argue with focus groups.
