Um, when I get drunk I don't talk about things I talk to people. Same thing I do sober though perhaps I do it a bit louder and with a bit less of a filter while drunk. Really, you should always try to talk to people, not at them.

You cater the conversation to the person you're talking to. To just talk about a thing and not to a person is to consider only yourself in the conversation. That's not how interaction with others works.
