Well, I have watched it go both ways, does the image change or is it simply an optical illusion with the same gif?

Optical illusion. It's all about how you perceive the rotation. You can force the opposite direction if you think of yourself going in that direction, and when you do, the dancer goes in that direction.

Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.

This is why the "test" is bullshit. There's no reason why "most of us" would see it turning in any one direction or another. So "most of us" would be left brained by that logic. No, out of 6 billion humans, most of them are going to be middle brained, with an equal number of people on either side of that middle ground.

Of course, there's absolutely no reason why seeing it one way or another would relate to left brain versus right. What's the correlation?

I just tried it in 2 more browsers, and it's still only going clockwise. Interestingly, it's moving at about 1/10 the speed of Firefox in Chrome, and IE8-64

A good way of making her switch directions is to cover up (use a piece of paper or your hand) everything but the foot of her swinging leg. As the foot appears, try to visualize making it go in one direction or the next.

Nope, it's obviously going clockwise to me. It would be like you telling me to visualize a car on the highway moving backwards when it isn't. I just can't do it.

I see a black chick with nipples spinning clockwise. But when I stare for a bit, she goes counter-clockwise. I look at her head and try to think about her face going the opposite direction.
