I tell them I am busy.. and if they really want to tell me about it..

I ask them to give me their home phone number where I can reach them..

if they dont.. then I'll just say why? you dont you want me calling your house ??

then you know how I feel.. and hang right up

*hehe Seinfeld*

When they ask for Mr. "aceman" I tell them one moment and hand the telephone over to my 5yr old son. He'll talk to them for a good couple minutes before they hang up and never call again.

We have got to the point were we let the answering machine pick up all calls. Our friends know this and as soon as they say "hello, You home." we pick up. The telemarketers get to talk to the machine, funny how they never leave a message. If for some reason I find myself on the phone talking to one, I try to remember that they are people doing a dirty job and politily say "No thank you, Good bye" Then hang up.

I never telemarketed, but did do phone surveys (similar). I got hung up on 98% of the time. You get used to it. Hated that job though. To get them off the phone, I say I am not interested politely and hang up. I don't wait for an answer.

My dad always says, "We're in the middle dinner. Give me your number and I'll you back during yours."

He usually just hangs up after that, so whatever the reply is, it isn't good.

I first ask them for the name and phone # of the company, they are required by law to give you that information. 2nd I ask if the company has a no call policy, they will because it is required, I then ask for them to send it to me, they are required to do this. I then tell them to put me on the no call list. If they call back within the next 12 months I sue them, I made 3200.00 last year this way.
I havent been to court once, they just offer a little settelment 500 to 1000 and I accept.
