Craps is fun. There are some pretty good odds on a few of the bets too. I think they call it backing up your line bet after it has passed. That one has pretty good odds. There are some sucker bets on there too, so you'd need to study up a bit.

my usual games: 2/3 nl texas hold em, single-deck blackjack, $10 min. blackjack (too many kids splitting 10's and taking dealers bust cards at $5 tables), and sports gaming. if the mood strikes me right and i have a fun group of friends with me, i might walk over to the craps tables. but i have a card room only a few miles away so thay's where i usually play the aforementioned games.

Sit back and watch some idiot put hundreds thru a slot, then when he's broke, I move in for the kill. It's amazing how many times I've scored that way over the years.
Slots are generally terrible for the player, so the key is observe and let someone else lose for a while.

What exactly do you mean by that? Are you trying to imply that you are somehow winning the money that person lost? That's not how that works.

well, nevada law says machines have to pay out 97% of what they take in. it's gotta come out at some time.

Suckers think that way though.
First of all Nevada has no such law. The slots you play in the airport are probably 80% return, which is probably the legal minimum for that jurisdiction. If you want I can look up the exact number for you.Originally posted by: The Boston Dangler

i know statistically it about evens out, but if it is then its doing it for the people who sit after me. everytime i sit down the person at third base hitting on a 16 while the dealer is showing a 3 seem to get that 10 and bust and then the dealers hole card is sure enough a 10 and then she'll hit an 8 and doom the whole table.Originally posted by: DBL
How does a "kid" know to take a dealers bust card? Does a bust card always come out when a player incorrectly takes a card? How exactly does this affect you?Originally posted by: anxi80

True, but saying that there's an 80% or 97% return isn't valid simply because the slot machine is likely to be emptied frequently(daily, I would guess). With a little monitoring, I'm sure you could balance the winnings of the house pretty easily.Originally posted by: Kyteland

Second, no it doesn't have to come back out at some time. It *probably* will just by the laws of mathematics. It doesn't *have* to.

Yep. It doesn't matter whether someone lost the last 1000 slot machine pulls, the 1001st is no more likely to pay off.
I tried teaching my friend how to play hold em but it didn't work. She believes she has a system to beat roulette. You can't help someone like that.
