What do you plan to do with the new netflix pricing??

What are you gonna do with the new netflix pricing changes?

  • Switch to the DVD only plan

  • Switch to the streaming only plan

Keeping my current plan as is - the price increase was inevitable.

Streaming plus 2 DVDs at a time.

most of what I watch is streamed movies, I had the streaming + 1 dvd plan, but would only watch maybe 3 or 4 dvds a month... It was nice being able to get the dvds since the streaming service only covers a portion of their library, but I figure I'll just go streaming and if I want a DVD, I'll consider redbox, or waiting for it to stream, or .. .worst case scenario ... vudu or amazon or some other service that charges per movie...

I plan on starting a new thread instead of perusing the other one in which a good portion of the people spelled out exactly what they plan on doing.

dvd-only.

Netflix has always been about the dvds for me, where their selection can't be beat... I've watched some great shows via streaming, but it's more of an "omg, I'm desperate and can't find anything to do and just need to fill an hour of time" kind of thing. for sure the selection isn't so good that I'd pay $8/month just for it.

if I was going to pay for streaming anything, it would probably be hulu+ since the bulk of what I watch online are current tv series.

I am dropping down to only streaming for a while. but then the selection sucks and with more people switching to stream only they are going to raise the rates again next year and i will cancel then.

Switch to streaming only until I've watched everything they offer that I want to watch, and then cancel.

Cancel it all, the streaming looks like ass compared to true HD and I've run through most of the DVD's I wanted to see.

tried the free month but watched everything I really wanted to on streaming (might want to watch some old TV shows). Was considering the streaming+1 dvd for $10 but now maybe just streaming in a few months.

what the fuck, there is already a multi page discussion on this same subject on the front page a few posts down....

Canada never had DVD rental through them, so the price doesn't change. I've bounced around the idea of getting the streaming but I hear the selection still sucks.

Havn't decided yet. Either cancelling or just the Bluray plan for me. Driving around town for a redbox with the bluray you want is stupid. Might need to make more friends with movies to trade.

Cancelled service about an hour ago. They can go fuck themselves. They're not getting another dime from me. How they handled this, plus the mediocre selection of movies...I'm done with them.

I'm staying with my current plan - streaming only. I had zero interest in the any of the DVD plans before now, and the price change won't change that.

Keep my current plan of Streaming only. I dropped the DVD's option a long time ago and I don't miss it.
