i bet the 'balance' also shifts - shortly - as x1900 cards are released from ATI . . . x1800 evidently turns out to be a 'stopgap' for ATi. 😉

I do video editing and animation (1 and 2 respectively). My video editor works better with fewer device issues with ATI cards. My animation package works better with nVidia, but does not have device issues with ATI. I cannot cheaply upgrade my mobo (dual Xeons @ 533). So, I went with an ATI X800XT AIW. Bonus, it gives me AV->DV in, so I can hookup a VHS deck when I need to capture analog video.
So, what is your story?
