I just did a reinstall tonight after royally fvcking up the registry, somehow managed to remove the OS's ability to run programs. Go me! Anyway, the only thing I usually forget to backup is wallpaper and custom icons. But didn't screw up this time. Other than that, everything of importance is on CD-RW.

Oh also don't forget to turn DMA back on in device manager.

1) application config/ini type files
2) take a screenshot of your desktop/startmenu/quicklaunch bar so you remember all the apps you frequently use
3) favorites/bookmarks
4) all documents and save files
