Whoever is the administrator seems to be personally locking the site http://forums.anandtech.com from every computer I go to. However my friend is perfectly fine playing pico kills everyone at www.newgrounds.com. Makes no sense.

If that happened to me I'd get pretty angry. 40 minutes in a programming class being taught stuff I've known for 2 years gets damn boring.

Suggestion: try setting up your home system as a webserver and have it redirect to anandtech.

The internet at school is worthless. Supposedly it's cable, but most of the time it's much slower than 56K access, even when there's almost nobody using it.

Why the HECK do they use NOVELL?? What advantages does that give them??

Our network rocks... we're upgrading our 3Com Corebuilder 9000's (5 total) to Extreme Black Diamonds, and our 3Com SuperStack 3300 and 1100 switches to Alpine 3808's... translation: DAMN fast...

It also helps that I have admin rights for a 1500+ machine network...

Wow, you guys have it good! My school just upgraded this year from the old 386's. Now were at around the Pentium level! We finally have windows though. By the time I graduate maybe they will get internet!

Yeah Windogg they used to have them. The 1st pic is 2 years old I think. The 2nd one is more recent.

In our school....in one lab we seem to have a fiber line going to it that hte rest of hte school can't touch. Also helps since we havea 100mb connection while hte rest of hte school has a 10mb connection.

We often dnload at 200-300 kiloBYTES/second. Our coputers in that lab are P2-400 w/128MB RAM (DELL machines).

The ohter lab has P2-667 w/128MB RAM (Compaq machines).

sorry for my typing..its late for me..
