like: relaxed, cool toys, flexible hours, coworkers, paying for school, internet, every other friday off

dislike: no free coffee, bad parking, no personal phones/mp3 players, limited internet

Like: being able to bullshit on the interwebs all day long, getting school paid for, getting paid to go to class and do homework.

Dislike: stupid people, slow ass management taking forever to get anything done.

Like:
Location (5-minute drive to work), Co-workers, Pay (pretty decent for a support position), Sometimes free beer on Fridays, ability to work from home or take paid sick days when I'm not feeling well.

Dislike:
Company procedures that slow everything down, and general repetitiveness.

day job :
like : go karting on thursdays, frisbee golf for lunch, 15 minutes from home, 8-430 is nice, I can do what I want to/on the network I please, PTO, ease of getting days off, solid company
dislikes : nothing really ...

side job :
like : my own boss, very little overhead provides huge gains
dislike : customers, hahaha...pita sometimes.

I'm going to go with the bad news first.

Dislike:
Commute - 45 min to an hour each way
Stupid people in supervisory positions - obviously promoted based on seniority, not merit, intelligence, or knowledge.
Being on call - but only one week per month
Taking support calls - our help desk is only trained to handle very basic generic issues and has no clue how to troubleshoot any of our custom applications.

Like:
Paycheck - Salary is at the high end of the typical range in this area.
401k - I put in 6%, employer puts in 8%
Working for a growing, thriving company, with a bright future - especially valuable in this economy.
Flexibility - No worries about leaving early, coming in late, or taking off for an appointment during the day.
Hours - We occasionally have to work overtime for some projects, but on average, I work 40 hours a week.
Great management - From my boss up to the VP's and CEO, we have good people who make good decisions and expect hard work, but also understand that we have lives outside the office.

Like: my direct bosses and several other people I work with

Dislike: the number of hours I have to actually work. It's starting to take its toll.

like: no pressure and 5 day working week, ending @ 4.30pm daily

dislike: good for nothing bosses who can't even make decent and good decisions

I like that I have no supervision and basically make my own job, doing it however I see fit.

I dislike that it is entirely my responsibility to keep myself focused and motivated.

They kind of go hand in hand though. So I have to take the good with the bad.

like:

-somewhat flexible hours
-mostly low stress
-don't have to deal directly with clients often

dislike:

-the days... I was supposed to be working the weekend shift on a temporary basis, but I'm quickly realizing that I'm going to be stuck working every saturday/sunday forever.
-they took away our telecommuting. I can still work from home if there's an emergency, but I used to work 2/4 days at home (I almost moved an hour and a half away from my office, in fact, thinking that the commute wouldn't be too bad if I was only doing it 2 days/week; glad that didn't happen)
-no overtime

i like my coworkers, the actual work, the location, and the pay
i dont like the management

by location i mean, my commute. dont really care for the overall area that much, though it could be MUCH worse

Like: Relaxed hours, come and go as I please but still get salary, pretty much free reign to BS on the internet all day long, not giving a crap about our POS product, can do all my schoolwork at work, my boss, seems like it's impossible to get fired here

Dislike: Being constantly led on that a promotion is right around the corner, they don't pay for school, don't give a crap about our POS product, I don't believe in our company or any products we make and I find it amazing we are a profitable business, 20 minute commute.

On the one hand I feel like I am severely underutilized and underpaid but on the other hand I feel like I am getting paid $50k to BS on the internet and do my homework. It's fine for now but once I complete my Masters degree at the end of this year I want to get paid more more and actually do something of value that I believe in.

like: autonomy. my schedule, my clients, my work, cool co-workers
dislike: supervisor is a soul-sucking db, enough to make 100s of people quit.
