What do you know that nobody else knows?

i know a lot at my current job about our software to the point that if I leave, they are going to be totally screwed with future development. but there are 2-3 other people in that same boat now, and probably if 1 of us leaves the rest will follow.

Specifications for a home entertainment device that will launch in April, assuming the hardware issues and software glitches are ironed out.

:shiftyeyes;

I'm probably know the ins and outs of some major healthcare applications better than just about anyone else.

I've actually got GE interested in getting me to do some side work on the development of one of their applications. 🙂

I know a good amount about a lot of the proprietary software we have written at work. I am the SME in most of our C/Tuxedo batch code. I can't go into any details about anything though.

Thaat contrary to popular belief, RIMM is actually growing internationally. And over the past few months, they have actually been selling more units in the US! People seem to be ignorant of what market share is. They have lost market share. That does not mean they have sold fewer units.

I have made several molecules that no one in the history of this universe has ever held in their hand.

you are exaggerating your importance with the company and you know it. the truth is that you, or any one for that matter, is but a mere cog in the wheel. if you leave, the cycle will continue to continue. maybe slow and differently at first. until they find that indian replacement that is 10x better than you at 1/4 the cost. you will fade into obscurity and no one will care. eventually at some point you will become a fall guy, you know, the poor sap whose name comes up in team meetings for anything that goes wrong with 'the system'. they will loathe you and piss and moan your name whenever 'Sandeep' makes 'the process' much, much smoother.

P.S. Do the needful.
