What do you keep your heat/AC set to during the different seasons?

Their politics are a joke. California isn't the last place I'd want to live, but it's waaay down on the list.

I'm in the SouthEast. It gets pretty warm here in the Summers, but we're typically a consistent 5 degrees cooler than Atlanta in the warmer months.

At night, I almost always set the thermostat to 66 degrees (or less in the Winter). I like to sleep in cooler temps. Otherwise, I set the thermostat to 68-72 degrees in the daytime and off if we're not home. That 5 degrees of variance changes depending on what I'm doing and whether or not I'm cooking. If we're cleaning the house or doing projects that make us feel warmer, we crank the AC down. If we're just watching TV...we might raise the temp some.

4500 sq. ft. home built in 2011 on an acre of land in Illinois. Got it? Prop taxes are going to cost considerably less in Washington IL than they would in the bay area regardless of PROP 13.

fuck....

I'm not even the one who brought prop taxes into this the good DR was then he decided to bring weed into the conversation....jesus h christ it's like I'm playing cards with my sisters kids here....

Not bad....whats prop taxes like in the bay area? And don't quote me some shit hole in Oakland....

See what happens when you're up late drinking and suffer from senility.......

Daytime settings: 68F Winter, 78F Summer. In the winter I drop temps at night. In the summer I up temps upstairs (bedrooms) and do the same to the living space at night.
If I get a chill in the winter and a sweatshirt doesn't cut it, I bump up the temp a couple of degrees. Bump it down a couple degrees in the summer if I come in from doing yard work, etc., to cool down faster.

Even with the politics, it's still a top 10 state to live in if you can afford a decent place. One of the main reasons California became hard to live in, is well, because, it's fucking really nice to live there in many areas.

actually I think you did bring up property taxes in this thread. Are you feeling ok?

Yeah but then you are stuck in Washington, IL, right near the amazing place called Peoria where all the culture and interesting shit is. Suburban strip malls, and nothing of anything that spectacular nature wise either compared to the Bay Area. Not to mention the climate. Also, many people really don't need an acre and 4500 sq feet. Some people like less space, with more access to stuff. McMansions aren't a way of life for everyone. If it makes you happy, McMansion away, but it certainly ain't all that to a lot of people.

It goes many ways.
