Summer = 78
Winter = 70
The thermostat is right outside the door of the 'computer room' and the heat from the computers affects the temp. So, 70 is actually more like 68 in the house, etc.
Setback lowers the heat during sleeping hours in the heating season. There's no sense raising the temp in the cooling season because the A/C quits running in the evening and usually doesn't come on until early to mid afternoon anyway.
IMO, some of you guys are dialing way too much setback into your thermostats. You can shoot yourself in the foot if you try to raise or lower the temp too much. You have to pay attention to how long the furnace or A/C is running to get to the desired temp. 3° to 5° is the optimum setback IIRC. If you dial down the temp 15° during the day and the furnace doesn't run for 9 hours but it takes 4 hours of continuous running to get it up to temp, what have you saved?
Just something to think about. YMMV
