What do you hate most about Firefox?

Yes, I know it's software, but Firefox is so universal that it extends beyond the realm of the software forum and the trekkies that nef there.

Here's what I hate most.. The fact that by default there is no menu option to open links in a new tab instead of a new window. By default, every link on this forum, etc, opens in a new window, instead of the original window full of my happy little tabs. The only way to enable the option for opening all links in the same window is by using about:config to set browser.tabs.showSingleWindowModePrefs to "True". Why? Why can't this option appear in the menu by default? How many people don't know about this feature because they've never poked around and stumbled upon it?

</rant>

Edit: Why do moderators have to move my thread but not the countless other Firefox threads in Off Topic?

I wonder if you have ever tried FF.....i was a IE fanboy to until I realized the greatness of the dark side...

the only thing I hate about FF is that it has no hotkeys...like control+f1 brings up AT etc...

unless there is or there is an extension that I am not aware of??

The find-as-you-type bug... it doesn't always find it even if it's on the page. I've posted about this a couple times.

It's in your options.

Tools -> Options -> Privacy -> Saved Passwords -> View Saved Passwords -> Passwords Never Saved -> Remove

It does slow things down a bit - but there really isn't any other way to get true Single-Window/force everything to tabs functionality without an extension.

The fact that adblock and cookie culler are not built in and must be added into it as an extension (why is this not a basic feature) although that is not that big of a deal.

Yes there is. I said how to in the OP.

I've tried to use it a few times but I can't go more than five minutes without getting ticked off by all the UI problems (preferences are a sheet? WTF?). The next version is supposed to fix a lot of those, though.

Sorry, but on a new installation, that only seems to prevent links that would normally spawn a new window from doing so. Clicking on a link in an external application still seems to open a new window. Also, I like the ability to force links to open in background tabs and other convenience options that TBE provides.

it's memory footprint, it's proneness to crashing on websites with embedded .wmvs, the issues with find (it seems that it is dependent upon if you've clicked in a page before, then searches down from that link rather than the whole page - both a blessing and a curse), it's general instability when you have a bunch of tabs open (I'll frequently have 20+), the associated fanboys, the fact that the Mac version sucks donkey nuts (particularly with respect to scrolling) and that Safari trounces it in most areas (but lacks extensions, which is a major drag),

and aside from these, it'd be nice if it had a more efficient way of updating, similar to how Windows update can update IE, but this is a minor gripe
