I think it's ugly, just like every other Infiniti product (except for their version of the Murano which is sweet) I second the boring comment. Infiniti's designs do nothing for me, with the exception of the aforementioned vehicle.

I tend to agree that Infinity is somewhat bland and generic looking but I guess that's just their style. Nice car anyway.

Nope, pretty boring IMHO.

BORING??

Yup...boring.

ya, the front is "meh" and the tails are nearing ugly. I'd take an S class over that

S-Class costs about $40,000 more

i thought theyre are shooting for the same class,
g35, 3-series, all the new acuras etc look better. The front is bland as hell and the rear tails are waaaay too big

I'd rather have a 300c and save 20K 😀

How are you suppose to put your own stereo in there if you wanted a different one?

Well - my parents own the current one. The current one is an awesome car - other than the looks. It is a total sleeper - which I love very much.

The new one:
- I think nissan totally wussed out on the engine. The 4.5L is not a new engine any more. I mean my parents got the current one 2 yrs ago - and it has the same 4.5L 340HP 333TQ engine. I'm not saying the engine is bad from any point of view but I was personally thinking it was time to up it to about 400hp at least. Considering how infiniti wants to stay on top of the HP war (s4 and the 300c both have 340hp now - so its not that exclusive anymore).

- The looks - well I think it looks awesome. Clean crisp lines and nice curves overall. Cool that they made the exhaust twin doubles.

- Interior: Looks very nice and crisp. The gauges and the dash look very nice. I hope they make the navigation touchscreen - that is my only beef with the current one.

- Other: AWD should be an aweome feature. Without VDC right now - there is way too much tire spin - godly amount of torque at low RPM.

tail lites resemble a volvo (they end at the trunk seam and have the outside bulge). front shots look spicy hot though

edit: while it looks good, anyone else think the side profile looks really similar to the g35 sedan?

AFAIK its based on the same FM platform - slightly extended(maybe) - but it is the FM platform - maybe that's why.

I think it's dead sexay. If you transplant the interior of the new Lexus GS in there....oh lord...that would be a car to die for.

The Infiniti FX45/35 and the Nissan Murano share NOTHING in common with each other, other than the VQ engine - they're totally different platforms, and two cars designed totally separate from each other.

Really? That's quite interesting. They look so much alike I just assumed the FX45 was just an Infinitified Murano.
