What do you guys think of my first flash design?

Text seemed slow, not that many words after all. I'd suggest set it to play just once and autoforward to the main page. From a customer's perspective it's nice to be welcomed, once, but then they want to get on with what they typed in the url for :)

try to have a smoother transition for the letters that pop up (ie fading). but also, change it up. dont do the same for all the letters in teh words.

Wow... just.. wow....

:p

I'm just kidding, it's a good effort for a first. Although I don't have any contructive critism, I thought I'd simply suggest that you should definately try to save all of your flash work somewhere else like a floppy/zip disk so you can look back and visually see how far your skills have developed.

I haven't touched flash in the longest time now... there are a few project I did back when that I wish I still had around because a few of them were worth showing off or disecting for ideas.

Save everything. It may seem trivial but it's a helpful idea for the future.

Speed it up a tad. I'd also shorten the space between the t and the o in to. And the data link computers looks a bit too chaotic for my tastes (that's just me though).

Final thought, if possible, bring in the computer squares (last two to load in sequence) at the same time rather than one after the other.

Good job on the whole. :)

this is for a class, were just supposed to design some flash logo for the top of our page, how do you change the size of the page? where it keeps the same aspect ratio, but just makes it smaller. also, how do I center?

Make text come in faster, stage transitioning with the pics, slower. Give the text time to stand out on the page instead of it restarting in a endless loop. Also, get rid of the bottom two animations. They distract more than anything else.

Other than that, for one of your first goes at animation or flash, I'm impressed. Good sense of balance and space. Just need a little more practice at delivering the subject matter. All the other stuff will fall into place in time.

Agreed. I generally don't like business sites that have flash intros. It just makes it more amaturish, IMO.

An intro that can describe what the company is about and what they offer can be beneficial, so long as it is right to the point... and has a skip button.
