They may be comfortable but they look really ugly. Doesn't anyone make a recliner that looks slim and can disassemble?

Before you spend your money on a Lazy-Boy, go to a quality furniture store and check out the Lane brand of recliners. IMO, they're more comfortable and built far better. For that matter, the most comfortable recliner I've ever owned was from Costco...Not the longest lasting one, but the most comfortable...

I use my Lane recliner from Costco every single night.

That's just a copy/paste from my furniture links. Have a gander. Some may be useful and others may not.

You have a set of furniture links? Ummm...are you in the furniture business or something? LOL

Awesome. I got my La-Z boy at a Boscov's 'scratch and dent' store (no visible damage, must have just been sitting around for awhile), $179, the original retail was $799.

I LOVE MINE!

i had a 15 yr old one my dad gave me like 10 years ago. i love it. it now sites in my dining room (the room is huge. far larger then the tiny table we have). I have also purchased a used one (its like 20 years old) that is in the family room and a new (well 3 yr old) in my living room.

well worth the money!

we also have a love seat by them. its great.

I've heard the quality has declined and I tend to believe it from personal experience.

My parents ALWAYS bought La-Z-Boy chairs and have had them my whole life. Their first set I'm using right now for furniture. They had them reupholstered once and the cushion is getting worn out, but other than that they're mechanically fine.

They bought some La-Z-Boy chairs to replace them probably 10 years ago. One of the chairs (the one that gets the most daily use) already has the locking mechanism worn out (the thing that lets you tilt the chair back a number of increments with the footrest up). The chairs have a lifetime warranty, but better keep your proof of purchase or they won't honor it.

I'll check out Lane because I'm also looking for new recliners. I hate to throw out the old La-z-boy's because I was raised with those chairs :)
