I owned a Buttefly 480W (VERY silent) and now I own a Purepower 680W which is silent... Abou estability this one is just great, the other had a little weak 12V rail, but never game me problems with stability, just low readings (11,5V).
So If you avoid 18A 12V single rails and buy some with more power this are great PSUs.

And any review you read says the same I do. A had a good deal on this PSU, I heard in USA is quite expensive ($189). I got it for 119?, quite cheap and just a great product.
