what do you guys do with old hardware?

Hey all, I have a couple of old machines that I'm not using but i feel bad throwing out since they work in some fashion or another. One is a mini pc zotac amd thing and the other is a mini-itx wolfdale with a 5770 that is a solid little computer. Needs a little TLC. Any ideas?

Well, fully-working PCs (with or without OS - in the latter case, I install GNU/Linux), get donated. I know of an agency out here that takes them.

Non-working PCs or parts get sent to the local electronics recycler.

Yeah, I bundle old parts into as small of a system as possible and do DC with them. Had to throw by old 5xxx cards out though in my move.

When serviceable hardware is no longer of use to me, I give it away.

Love the new lower power stuff, it is just amazing.

I give it away. If nobody wants, then it goes to recycling.

I replace the non-acceptible parts and either reuse or gift the machine.

The unusable parts go to best buy for (free) recycling.
