Watch movies, listen to music, or play games, all on my PSP. I love it! I have a couple of these which are good for about 10hrs of battery life, and one these to store music & movies. But the PSP would be almost worthless to me with my Shure earphones and foam tips. Extremely comfortable for long flights and best of all sound isolating. It's like be in teh library on a flight. No plane noise, no kids screaming, nothing. Just me and my music, movies and games. :)

And or course I sleep too...in peace. :)

either read a book or listen to music/play games/watch movies on my phone. i loaded up my microsd card with a few movies, a handful of mp3's and i also have an nes emulator on it and the extended battery was good enough to last me from lax to honolulu with a a bar or two of battery life to spare.

Navigate, talk to the controllers, watch out for traffic, fly the plane ( I don't have an autopilot:( ).

usually, get some good magazines, ipod and skymall.
On longer flights... pfft... hopefully a good movie will be shown. Snack a bit, sleep a bit.

Listen to music, sleep or read a book. The only flight I've ever been on that was longer than ~5 hours was Newark -> Madrid which was about 7 and a half, 8 on the way back. On that flight I slept for most of portion that was over the ocean, so that was good. Otherwise I just listened to my iPod and watched the in-flight movies.

If there's an in-flight movie, I'll usually watch that...otherwise, I try to listen to music or get as comfortable as possible. I'm 6'4" so I never really fit in the coach seats, but that's all work ever pays for.

i absolutely COULD NOT fly without my isolating headphones (foamed shures or etymotics)

when i see people with standard headphones, and especially earbuds (ipods), i feel compelled to preach about what theyre missing...

I knit. :) unless I'm in the middle seat between two strangers.. then I'm more likely to read.

I read, try to sleep but fail, size up any hot airline attendants (if there are any), look out the window and listen to music.

TV on Demand (I avoid airlines that do not provide that service), movies/music on laptop, ipod. Flew Southwest once (coast to coast) and had extra battery for laptop (lasted entire trip) and watched movies.

Also, I generally try to stay awake as much as possible before the trip so that I can sleep (I cant sleep on a plane unless absolutely necessary)

On my recent trip to India, it was a 7:00pm flight from SFO -> LHR (was awake for entire ~14hr flight except for maybe 1-1.5 hrs). Had ~8 hour stay at LHR (awake whole time). For my flight from LHR->DEL (India), I was so tired that I was asleep as soon as the plane was in the air (within 5 min of take off) and woke up ~1-1.5 hrs before landing. This was the best flight ever (didnt even know how time passed). I only remember flight attendant waking me up for dinner which I refused and told her that I will eat whatever is left when I wake up..lol - BIG MISTAKE...nothing much was left for me when I woke up ... had to do with couple of candy bars and a nasty sandwich :()

I normally read one book per round trip and sleep the rest of the time. Unfortunately the last flight I had was delayed for 1.5 days departing and 8 hours returning so I read two books and slept the rest of the time. I also have some in-ear buds listening to music and noise canceling 100% of the time I am able so I don't have to listen to crying babies.
