Actually, I don't work directly with rockets, but some of our work supports satellite launches.
I do astrodynamic analysis & research. Alot of it involvesprogramming (mostly C++, Python, some leftover Fortran), and a fair bit of that is on cluster computers. I'm currently working on a really interesting scheduling problem with a distributed genetic algorithm.
