I throw them in the garbage, with the rest of the avocado. The more important question is: how did the fucking thing get into my house in the first place?

I don't mind avocado, but I hate this notion that nearly every dish is improved by adding avocado. It's obnoxious, and it's very much a CA thing.

Split them before you compost them.

Grasp it firmly in the palm of your hand, take a sharp pointed knife, and make a strong, steady, and firm jabbing motion into the center of the avocado seed.

This will lodge the knife firmly into the center of the seed, from there, you twist the knife, and split the seed apart. This will make it compost faster, and you won't risk a sapling started.

I've never had too much avocado. If I find a really good deal on them I load up and make guacamole, simply add my homemade tomato hot sauce (have a lot of it canned), maybe some lemon juice and freeze it in convenient portions. I have guacamole in the freezer, almost always. Guac always rocks.

They make great organic butt plugs. After use as such, you can feed them to insistent vegans. Just don't wash them first. You lose all the "nutrients" that way.

Huh... Never considered eating either. Doubt I'll try the pit. That would require pulling out gear I wouldn't otherwise use, but the skin is approachable. Just bought some today, so I'll be able to try it after they ripen.
Well if you do let me know, I may be nuts but I'm not nuts.

I tried it tonight. Kinda meh I think. It tastes kind of like bark, and it took a good while to dry in the toaster oven. If it's especially nutritious, it may be worth the effort, but I don't think the energy expenditure's worth the result.

I'm thinking add it to my bread recipe. I already add ~1.5 ounce of blender-ground organic flax seeds, figure adding a diced and similarly ground avo pit would be apt to up the nutrition index. Or maybe to my waffle recipe. Or stews. Anything for some extra brain cells.

I certainly hope we're staying sarcastic. For all I know the skin might be toxic.

A couple days ago, I tried eating cherry leaves. Lightly sweet, with a numbing bitterness. That bitterness bothered me, so I looked it up. The bark and leaves have hydrogen cyanide. Whoops :^D
