What are your PC's specs? Mine loads quickly.

That said, there is a new 187.7MB patch that just came out this morning on Steam. Hopefully it addresses the DX11 issues so i can get back to playing
.. letsee, D/L's almost done .. C-ya! I'm back to playing in 3D

Yes, I saw that patch delivered over GFWL. Directly after that patch, the game restarted quickly. I haven't tried it since. I'll try DX11 too.

I just tried it again, definite improvement on startup time, down to about 45 seconds from double-clicking on the desktop icon.

DX11 mode was just as bad as it was though, and I could only see one difference in challenge mode, being an effect when your character rapid-punches an opponent. Otherwise it looks identical to DX9 mode except much much slower.

My PC spec

Not so. It made me start over. Then Steam Cloud synch kicked in and after a game restart, my old save is back, thankfully.

Although i had no load times issues, the patch brings good DX11 performance increases with much less slowdowns. It is fully playable on my i7-920 PC (GTX 560Ti 448 Core FTW/GTX 550Ti for PhysX) at 1080p in 3D Vision with completely maxed out DX11 settings.

Do I have a chance with a single GTX570 without 3D vision? I'll find out tonight regardless... but would be nice to know.

Not with PhysX on high. Everything else.

And when i said "everything high", i meant FXAA - not MSAA - with 3D Vision at 1080p

The new "best looking 3D game" is evidently not Batman AC any longer
- that was a short reign
:$

According to Nvidia, it's Trine 2 . . . i'm downloading now
:whiste:

Couldn't get it to run very well. It actually seemed to be going well with very little slowdown in most street fights, and traveling around the city was fine, but one specific boss battle turned the thing into a slide show. There's still a lot of work to be done...

It might have been better with physx off completely, but I'd rather just stick w/ DX9 and physx than the slight improvement DX11 gives and no physx.

PhysX on High or on Medium? i don't think a single GTX 570 can handle PhysX on high.

i use a GTX 560 Ti 448 Core FTW (very much the equal of the GTX 570) and i need a GTX 550 Ti as a dedicated PhysX card to play on high.

Try DX11 and PhysX on normal

I don't believe I ever had it set to high due to performance issues, but I'll have to double check. I played around mostly with the AA settings, and thought I found a good mix of performance and visuals. Everything was smooth enough by my standards for hours until this one specific boss fight, which makes me think that area was just too busy and unoptimized.

what is this loading time you guys are talking about?

😛

<--- Raid 0 SSD's..

Even Total War doesnt take long to load with that kind of IO speed. 😉

Go on the web and post about why it takes so long to load. Some games are jsut ridiculously bad at loading.
