What do you do when your favorite jeans get holes in them, or get ripped?

Do you throw them away, patch them, or just continue wearing them?

My favorite pair has a huge hole at the knee. Once the hole gets there, it gets bigger quickly because your toes always catch on it while putting the jeans on. It's so hard to find a comfortable pair that fits right. It was also weird that at first girls would compliment me on them while I was already thinking they were getting too worn to wear in public, but I stopped wearing them in public after the hole got worse and I started getting negative comments. Most jeans these days are too tight, or made for hipsters who dabble in womens jeans and square business guys.

I'll wear 'em with the hole for just knocking around the house and then throw them out when I need to make room for more clothes.

I guess I reached the limit how ragged I'm willing to let my jeans look when I'm in public. You can see my knee and part of my leg when I'm sitting down in these.

It's pretty sad that I can buy a new pair of relatively cheap jeans, wear them into the ground, only to have them look like the $100+ pair of current fashioned jeans.

This. Depending on how bad the rip or hole is, either I have my wife mend them and I turn them into yard work pants, or they get cut off and I get a new pair of jorts...

this is pretty much it. my favorite pair of jeans for 3 or 4 years got holes in the knees. i patched em up and usually just wear em if im gonna be lazy that day, or if i have work to do.

then i buy more like them....usually i buy levi 569s so mine are easy to replace next time theres a sale of some sort.
