For the main road a light messes up and goes flashing yellow for the main roads traffic and for the traffic coming out of say a parking lot at that same intersection they have a flashing Red light.

You're going down the main road with the flashing yellow light, do you...

A: Stop at the flashing light and treat it like a four way stop

B: Keep going but at a slower, more cautious speed

C: Drive on through like it's a green.

The reason I ask is because I had to go through two of these kind of intersections today and saw a person that had the flashing red go through like he had the right of way and nearly get nailed by a person with the flashing yellow driving through like it was green, while I was driving at a more cautious speed but not treating the yellow as a stop while the person in the lane next to me came to a complete stop and treated the flashing yellow like a four way stop.

according to the pennsylvania drivers manual, a stoplight out of order is to be treated as a 4 way stop sign intersection.

Pretty much act as if it were a yield sign... and flashing red = STOP, some idiots don't and cause PROBLEMS.

You can't tell the difference between a red light and a yellow light? Hope you're never driving near me or my loved ones.

I bet the guy that went through on the flashing red thought that the main road was also flashing red...

... which is why it's best to slow down and move at cautious speeds in case of potentially messy situations.

Remember, Red is on top and Yellow is in the middle.

A. if you live in the same town as ISAslot (Or anywhere else in Florida I suppose).

This only works for the 3 lighted signals. Here we have single lighted ones. These are the ones that annoy me.

flashing yellow = yield

for me, it means look right and left to watch for speeding crazies who might t-bone my car while in the intersection.

thing is, if it's a flashing yellow or red light, i'll assume the lights are having issues. if the guys with the flashing red dont know the other guys have a flashing yellow, they may assume they have the right of way. and there's no real way of knowing what the other guys have, aside from experience with the area.

in general, flashing red along with flashing yellow is bad idea imo.

Best. Run-on. Ever.

Was that a stream of consciousness or what?
