What do you do when you run out of molex connectors?

I just setup a new system but the problem is that i ran out of molex connectors. Now i have 3 cdr drives and 1 hard drive that has no power to it. I have an antec 1030 with the included power supply. Is the only solution to buy a new Power supply?

1 DVD drive
5 Hard drives
4 Fans

Just not enough molexes!!!!

Buy a Y adapter from Radio Shack.

There are all sorts of places that sell the Y adapters -- spits one connector to two -- for around a buck. Cyberguys #1130270 splits a molex to two and their #1130275 splits a molex to one molex and one mini 3.5" floppy. Either one is .95 each or .91 in quantity. Eveyone should have a some in their kit for just such a problem as you have.

If you can't wait for it to ship, you can buy one at Radio Shack for around $4.00 (a bit steep, but it's right there for ya).

I actually went into Radio Shack and asked for one once, the guy looked at me like &quot;Do you want to buy a remote controlled racecar?&quot;. $4 though? Pretty ridiculous.

don't get it at radioshack.

get it at your local computer store.

Don't get a y adapter. That many devices shouldn't run off one PSU. Just add a second PSU to your computer.

Just buy an Y splitter, it would work. Your PS should be able to be enough. If it isnt then just buy a 400w ps.
Ysplitters are cheap.

A fanbus is a great idea, but he would still be one molex connector short.

So you are saying that 8 devices and 4 fans should run just fine on a 300 watt psu?

Maybe if its an enermax 351 or something.
