I tend to just listen to music and mope around until my BF comes and cheers me up or I get tired of being sick and find some way to cheer me up.
Watching my favorite MST3K episode helps too
- play computer games to pass time and empty my brain
- call up the gf
- lay in bed staring up at the ceiling
- play with my rambunctious nephews
- watch anime to empty my brain
- watch a show like Simpsons or Seinfeld
Anything that doesn't require effort on your part can help to relax you (in case you're down about some sort of stress). This includes things like movies, which you just sit and watch.
If you're more of a bored/sad, then maybe you should try doing something active. I've found that packin' up my favorite music and riding my bike helps a LOT. It doesn't matter where I go, the farther, the better.
we put a dummy in the back of the truck, ride to the top of the Sky Way Bridge, wait for a bunch of cars to stop, throw the dummy off the bridge & haul a$$.
This doesn't cheer us up as much as it used to, damn video cameras.
