What do you do when you are confronted by someone else wanting to fight?

:shocked:I ask because two guys tried to start a fight with me out surfing. A couple of guys didnt like out of towners at their break, i paddled near them and they started yelling and stuff. I coulda taken either by themselves but not only do i not fight, i dont want to go to jail for something so stupid.

I havent been in a fight since jr high(not really a fight, we just pushed eachother and wrestled), im 27 now. Im 6'1" and 170 so i guess thats why people dont pick on me, that and im a nice person.

How do you treat confrontations? Have you been in a fist fight?

I am not built, but i do notice that alot of people are more intimidated by taller people.

People know better than to confront me. I'm 6'5" 250lbs, which is usually enough to deter people.

Now I'll have a badge, a gun, and a pair of handcuffs with me at all times. Not to mention my training in takedowns & holds.

Well, first I tell them that I am going to split them open and piss in their wounds. Then, with a reassuring look and a calm demeanor I make them believe every word of it. Never fails. I'm 5'8", 175 pounds in pretty good shape.

Yes, but I've only caught a fist once on the top of my head as I drop stepped, picked his ass up and dropped him hard on a steel drainage gate. The several other fights I've been in have always been settled with my wrestling skills and an inescapable hold followed by the words stated above. I've never lost a fight, though I'm always prepared should the day come. 😉

Jeebus!

I used to, back in my high school days, fight at the drop of a hat. Now, I would do anything not to fight. I've gotten into trouble, and I regret it, very much so.

From your pics you look to be in decent shape, I wouldn't have beef with you. I am of similar size and weight and a pacifist. But I have been in fights before (Jr. High or HS, I can't remember). For me, I put off the feeling of wanting to fight as long as I can. But there comes a time when the urge becomes more than I could handle. After that, I don't remember much. My carnal instinct takes control. It hasn't happened for some time now, but I remember getting real light headed and not making much sense (I was on the defensive). Kind of like a Jeckyll/Hyde complex, but again, its been years.

Start screaming "You're not my daddy, STRANGER DANGER STRANGER DANGER!" and hitting myself while tearing my shirt, smiling and winking at the thugs.

Works every time 😉

i just ignore them, if it comes to a point where i cant and fists are gonna fly no matter what, then i kick some ass

First, I poop my pants...
Then, when they're laughing at me, I kick the guy right in the junk.
I've had that work before.

MOG I JST FELL OF MY CHARE. HAHAHA!!!!1

One time my friend and I were walking down Lincoln Way here in Ames and some guys pulled up, rolled down the window and said "Hey guys, do you wanna fight?".. We just said "No, but thanks for asking" and then the guy was like "Ok, later!".. then we kept walking...

Yeah... it was kinda weird

Do you throw bricks at their trucks too?

easy if someone starts with me i try to talk to them nicely and ask them why they want to fight me.

Usually talking nicely and being reasonable works. A few times it has not worked. I have spent a few years in hapkido and started wrestling at 6 or so (was pretty good if i so so myself) so if i HAVE to fight (if walking away or talking does not work) i do my best to break a bone or make sure they are going to be down long enough for me to leave.

But i rarely have people messing with me. I'm 5'6" and 159 in good shape. Messing with someone so small and short does not impress the ladies.

ive often wondered if stripping down completely nude and screaming 'LETS DO THIS ANCIENT GREEK STYLE!' would work.

i have yet to had to put it into practice, though.

i mean who would want to writhe around wrestling a nude man?
