Offering to buy her chicken is not "rubbing it in her face".
In a loud and insulting manner, yes it is.
I'm not following the logic here.
Homeless Woman: Got $$? I'm hungry.
AC707: I'll buy you some chicken.
HW: I don't like chicken.
AC707: Sorry. 'bye
~~~
Homeless Woman: Got $$? I'm hungry.
Dude being accosted: uhhhh...
AC707: (loud, from distance) I'll buy you chicken!
I'm not trolling, I'm just wondering where the "rubbing her face in it" comes into play. What is "it"? AC707 isn't mocking Homeless Woman for not having $$. If you haven't eaten for days, you can't be picky about food (beggars can't be choosers) If Homeless Woman is turning down free food after it being offered, seeming to prefer the cash, AC707 certainly would be wise to assume that Homeless Woman is acting with less than complete veracity.
Sure, but she doesn't have to call the homeless woman's bluff. Jesus wouldn't have.
That's calling her bluff, not rubbing her face in it. It occurred to me just after my last post that maybe you meant a different idiom than "rubbing her face in it". It looks like you actually meant "calling her bluff".
I don't know WWJD.
The last homeless person (Homeless Man) I encountered was in Cincinnati, and he offered to BJ a co-worker (male) of mine for $$... :Q
