Just wondering what everyone does to get over their hangovers. I'm just trying to get through mine. Plenty of water, and I need to find some breakfast...

I well beyond my days of having any desire to drink too much. However, what always worked for me was drinking a bottle of water in-between each beer/mixed drink. Hangovers are simply from being dehydrated. But if you drink enough water the night you're drinking, you can avoid them. Don't wait until the next morning when you already feel like crap to start chugging water.

Heres what I do:

First time I wake up after drinking I eat a banana, then chug a bottle of gatoraide.

Now, the key is to go back to sleep for like an hour or so.

Then when you wake up, no more hangover. Just keep drinking fluids after that to keep the headache away.

have you ever had a hangover so bad that you *couldn't* get any gatorade/water down?

now THAT'S a real hangover.

Greasy food, lots and lots of water and/or gatorade, and sleep.

I usually have a really thorough shower to get rid of the smell of alcohol. I can't stand that when hung over :D Watch you don't fall or get dizzy, though.

Vitamin Water, or an Energy Drink (need to replenish vitamins/minerals). Sausage, egg, cheese on a bagel.

Couple aspirin before bed + couple glasses of water. In the morning, more aspirin + gatorade + something greasy.

through MANY years of drinking i have figured it out...

if possible, in the middle of your drinkfest, substitute a big bottle of gatorade - this helps tremendously.

if you can't do this, make sure you drink a big bottle when you get up with some motrin/ibuprofen.

When you wake up, drink a can of V8, then go back to sleep for another couple hours. Drink another when you get up.

It's no cure, but it helps.

At the end of a night of drinking, i always drink as much water as i can stand to, and take a tylenol or something before going to sleep.

Drink water and sleep. Time is the only thing that can make you less drunk, and consequently less hung over.

Get up early, Motrin 800 + 32 oz. of water. Back to sleep. Upon awakening, a new day.
