Well my current schedule doesn't really have a lunch break in it (11am-5pm, I just heat up some food here while I'm punched in :D), but when I work a full day and get the hour lunch I still go home most of the time, in which case I can eat for free and then sit on the computer or whatever. But lately I just go home to eat then back to work right away, only takes 30 minutes, may as well be working cause that other 30min can't really be used for anything, unless I'm staying in town for food/errands.

:( Lucky bastard! It takes me 40 minutes to drive one way. If I lived as close as you I could feed my BF:1942 addiction each afternoon. ;)

I usually drive to a restaurant with my co-workers which can take 5-10 min, then order and wait to get the food served .. another 15 minutes or so,, then eat ... and then drive back to work. This often leaves me with 5 to 10 minutes to spare ... in which case I sometimes use the can.

I grab my lunch either in a walkin or drivethru and eat it on the way to my next call. I don't see any reason to sit around for 30-60 minutes wasting my time.

I don't have a lunch break anymore (ie: I can take lunch if it's slow, but it's on the clock and the only thing that dictates how much time I have is how slow it is). back when I did have a lunch break, though, I'd either drive around for awhile (if it was a nice day), or catch a nap in my car (with instructions for someone to wake me up a few minutes before I had to punch back in).

I thought there was some sort of legal thing where you're required to have an hour lunch at a full time job? Maybe it's just California?

i believe its 30min per every 4 hours of work...

8hr work = 1hr lunch

half hour per six hours. they are not required to give you an hour.

<-- used to work 8 hours and get half hour lunches.

anyways i eat and read. i always take my lunch outside because i can't stand being cooped up all day.
