what do you do if you're born on february 29th?

My great aunt's birthday is 2/29. I wish I could say more about how she chooses to celebrate her birthday, but shes a huge bitch and has estranged herself from her sister, my grandmother.

I think she skins puppies alive and makes coats out of their fur or something like that. Stupid bitch.

if it were me, I'd celebrate once every 4 years and maintain a separate count of my age/4

You age 1/4 of the rate of normal humans.

Kind of like dog years.

It's what the movie Benjamin Button was about.

I have a friend from college who was born that day. We always toasted to his double birthday

More importantly. Do they legally move your birthday to the 28th so as to not screw up computer programs?

IMO you would celebrate on march 1st. Why? You can't celebrate until you are a year older. You're not a year older on the 28th, so the next time you're a year older is on the 1st. Your birthday is mar 1 on the years with no leap, and the 29th on the years with a leap.

My son-in-law's birthday is Feb. 29. Yes, it's a real pain with computer programs. He usually celebrates on Feb. 28, and at midnight he we all have a toast to that smidgen of time between the 28th and the 1st when he actually becomes a year older. Every 4 years he has a decent party.

Good question.

Can someone please present a scenario in which having Feb 29 as your birthday would screw up a computer program?
