Thanks for the link. Installed greasemonkey and added the script. However I tried going to BOINCstats which has had the detection for a couple of years now and the notice still appears.

http://boincstats.com/

If I go there in Pale Moon with Adblock Latitude installed, all I see there is the notification in the header "So you are blocking our ads...". It doesn't actually block you from using the site.

But if I use Chrome with Adblock Plus and AakScript installed, I get no ads and also don't get the notice in the header.

True, but it's always been like that. The main downside is that it takes up screen space and because of how it's written, you can use adblock's element hiding helper to get rid of it - at least I haven't been able to do it.
I'm confused by the bolded part. You can get rid of everything above the black line that's directly above "Welcome to BOINCstats". That removes the search & login fields too though.

As per a lot of sites whenever i disable AdBlock Plus i still don't see any ads. Is there any on that page?

As for the subject of this thread... if it's a one off site i come across & it want's me to disable adblockers i leave. I have no problem with trusted sites showing ads if it's easy to do(not allowing a 1000 sites access in NoScript for example)

Just lost my favorite tabloid. The NY Post put up a notice "Adblocker Interference Detected" in 8 languages. Using ABP. Will try ublock to see if that works.

I might try white listing it, but I have a feeling that doing so will make it unreadable.

Update: Disabling ABP for this site did not make a difference. Bye bye NY Post.

Chrome + Adblock Plus + Tampermonkey + AakScript -> No notice at http://nypost.com.

You're right. I realized that later but didn't bother to change it. I was actually hoping someone would notice that so my post could be corrected. So thanks. but yeah, blocking out the login fields can sometimes be a problem.

My problem with ads is malware. I might trust a site but there is no way I'm trusting the ads they post unless I have a very good reason to like for example I know that they screen their ads. And even then I would be hesitant.

Hmmm. That's interesting. I wonder why there is a difference between FF and Chrome. Maybe with v.48 it will work since ff will be more chrome-like.
