it really isnt bad for a first attempt from the brand to make a sports car. the second generation just needs to step up the game seriously.
I'd consider picking up a used IS-F over a used M3 probably because of hte less chance that it had been abused by the previous owner
Toyota had been sports cars for a long time, they just stopped for a while. No real excuse for a "first" attempt since they've had the Supra, MR2, AE86 etc in their resumes for a long time.
