When I was younger and had an 84 ford Tempo I timed it from 0 60, I think it took like 1.2.. minutes :(

I agree with the powerband, Hondas are built to make their power higher up in the RPM range, both torque and HP, but it is ridiculous to say traction limits an accord. They are FWD, they have the engine basically right on top of the wheels, even with an exceptional torque brake (on autos) you get very limited peel out, and it certainly wouldn't qualify as poor traction...

Would you care to explain the 2.4 60' times they always seem to run? Those cars always launch like crap.
Umm wtf are you talking about read the post, they don't build any power untill near redline, the largest engine they make is like 3.4L, the problem isn't excessive burnout, the problem is poor low end power...

Most of the problems that magazines have is that they can't launch a car woth a rats ass. C&D pulled ~2.4-2.5 60's on a bone stock GTP. My friend (when stock) put down solid 2.1s. Now he's modding and he puts down 2 flats. Runs 13.9 in the 1/4

My friends 2k2 Maxima is the same way. Most magazines list anywhere from ~14.6-15 for it with sh!tty 60's of 2.5. With just a CAI, he pulled a 14.18 @98mph on a 2.1 60'

There are very few good drivers out there when it comes to drag racing. Everyone is afraid to break something.

Well don't get me wrong, I do like a "fast" car, but being a sportbike rider changes your idea of fast. (at least compared to 99.9% of the cars out there)

If it doesn't run in the 10 or low 11 second bracket at most, it's SLOW!
