I collect and restore antique single cylinder air cooled small engines..

I actually haven't been very active in the hobby lately.. It's more of a winter thing. It's fun to go out to a nice warm shop on a short, cold winter day and build an engine up. :)

My oldest (and only that I've truely restored so far) is a Briggs and Stratton Model Y built in Febuary 1931. In its previous life, it served as a humble washing machine engine.

It was in pretty good shape when I got it. Just needed to be freshened up. Whoever owned it before took good care of it, and it saw a lot of use. Cylinder wear was .005! Compression was only ~45 due to that an a very worn exhaust valve. It still started and ran good, though it smoked bad.

The plain bearings' babbit was completely gone on the PTO bearing. Locating a replacement bushing was a PITA. Heh..

Legos. ROCK ON!!!! Well, not so much as collecting anymore, but I got bins and bins of them and my house is too cramped to get them out nowadays.

I have a lot of movies, a lot of CDs, but I really wouldn't call them a collection, it's more like a definate way to prevent boredom.

A few years back I used to collect all sorts of "junk" transforming toys, stuff I'd pick up at thrift stores, flea markets and stuff, because I love transforming toys. But space concerns have caused me to box them up and stick them in my attic for now :(

I have a vast collection of computer hardware. Numerous crates of ISA I/O cards, 8-bit, 16 bit, VL-bus video cards, ISA CGA/EGA cards, MFM/RLL drives from 10MB and up, old tape drives, tapes, sound cards, 300 baud modems, you name it. From PC/XT to some of the latest stuff. Much of it is in working order. Some of the items are new in original packaging. I have an original Gravis Ultra-Sound ISA Sound Card. w00t!!!

Not much anymore :p

I just threw out 5 19" monitor boxes bull of old toys from when I was a kid. Went through it item by item and plucked out anything that looked retro or collectible, though. Ended up with an original Erector set from my dad's childhood days and several model planes of various sizes that will be used to adorn the HT room.
