I'm calling it a Z-bracket, and that image does show up in a google search, though a ton of other unrelated hardware is also returned.

A nearby Ace Hardware did not have anything other than L-brackets.

I'm going to go to Menards (closest), and if necessary, further down the road to Home Depot and/or Lowes (right across the street from each other :awe:). I'm trying to figure out where exactly to look, and how to possibly explain it best, because searching on their respective websites, I cannot find anything called a "z bracket" or "z clip".

I call it get a piece of flat stock, drill two holes, bend it twice, and call it a day.

Or you could call it a "Chrome "Z" shape pedestal light turn signal mounting bracket."

Hmm. I need to pick up this kind of bracket locally tomorrow. Z Bracket gets no returns at any of the websites of local hardware stores.

Think I have any kind of decent shot even finding one in store, just under some obscure name?
I'm worried that I'll be focused on finding it in hardware, and all the employees will expect it to be there, when it ends up being some kind of lighting or electrical section item. I might make a point of running into a GM/Assistant GM to have them direct me.

If I can't get a Z-bracket locally, I'll have to settle for an L-bracket. My driver seat is currently unbolted and my car audio dead, waiting to splice in a new amp to replace the shittastic Bose thing that previously resided under said seat.

I don't believe that's a typical bracket and I'd be surprised if you find one in a hardware store.

Go to a car audio shop and tell them you need a back strap.

Mission accomplished.
