What do you call people that discriminate by religion?

maybe, but bigotry can mean so many things when racism can only mean one thing

Bigotry it is.

bigotry

\Big"ot*ry\, n. [Cf. F. bigoterie.] 1. The state of mind of a bigot; obstinate and unreasoning attachment of one's own belief and opinions, with narrow-minded intolerance of beliefs opposed to them.

Yeah, I suppose you could narrow it down by saying "religious bigotry" as you could say "racial bigotry" for racism. "Racist" and "racism" have been bastardized in this day and age to the point where if you simply disagree with someone not of your race you are characterized as being racist; at the very least you're considered "intolerant".

It's really too bad.

Religous Bigotry seems to describe it well enough.
Thanks🙂

A bigot is a person who is intolerant. A person who acts on their intolerance is discriminating. My father was a bigot, but he never stood in the way of nor harmed another person because of it. Therefore, he did not discriminate and hurt only himself.

I see them as two separate issues that become one only when action is taken.

Mormons
Jews
Muslims
Catholics
Presbytarians
Nazarenes
Jahovah's Witnesses
Baptists
Episcopalians
Christians
Satanists
Atheists

Hehe...don't they all pretty much descriminate against each other? 😉

Since all religion is a psychosis I guess you could say that you are discriminating against the handi capped.
