What do you buy for a friend as a graduation present?

Hi guys, was gonna ask for some ideas...
I'm going to be travelling to rome in about 11 days time.

But I'm on a budget myself.
Would be leaving before her graduation and want to buy her something, but honestly I never got any gifts on my own grad day. So I have no idea what people would buy normally.

Also, looking for something not too bulky especially NOT a diploma frame.
any thing to suggest? or to look for say.. under $200

Most of my friends graduated at the same time as me so I haven't given many graduation gifts....

However, this year I'm going to give my sister an iPod mini when she graduates...still have to decide what to give a couple other friends...

was thinking of something from the University instead now since somebody mention about having something to remember on the graduation.

$200 is a LOT to spend on a graduation present for someone you're not involved with... Do you really think your feelings for her are reciprocated?
