LG 43UN700-B 43 Inch Class UHD (3840 X 2160) IPS Display with USB Type-C and HDR10 with 4 HDMI inputs...? :confused:

I've got the previous version, the LG 43UD79-B.

It's a good panel, I can't speak to the new one, but it shouldn't be all that different.

Just be aware, it's HDR aware, but it can't ACTUALLY display an HDR image properly, it simply doesn't have the brightness or contrast to really do proper HDR.

I had heard that about the LG 43UD79-B. and HDR...but my research hinted that mine MAY have fixed that...
I guess I will have to check that out once I get it... (about a month out)
Nope, like I said, it's HDR AWARE, and CAN accept an HDR signal.

But 700:1 to 1000:1 static contrast AND 320cd/m2 to 400cd/m2 peak brightness levels, it's simply INCAPABLE of displaying a true HDR image.

It doesn't even meet the minimum VESA displayHDR specification (if it did, it would have the DisplayHDR branding)
