That is the standard stuff in NZ and it tastes a lot better than that disgusting fatty sht you guys eat over there. Bacon is pink, not white with a couple of pink strips. Yuck.

You speak the truth. I've never really like our "American" bacon all that much. It's like 75% fat and 25% actual meat. And the strips are too damn thin too.

It's only called American Cheese in the US. Up here in Canadia it's just "processed" cheese. I've looked everywhere, not a single package of American Cheese to be found 🙁

Oh, and nobody can make a pizza worth a damn around here. It's all tiny ass pies of standard hand tossed classic crust, and it's all expensive too. Not one NY style shop for hundreds of miles, and I'm sick of paying $20 for a single MEDIUM pie.

It's only called American Cheese in the US. Up here in Canadia it's just "processed" cheese. I've looked everywhere, not a single package of American Cheese to be found

Same in NZ. I'd never heard of "American" cheese until I saw that Simpsons episode where Homer ate an entire packet of it. I'm assuming it's the same as what we call processed cheese. I've seen it on TV, and it looks similar except that it's a lot more orange coloured that the light yellow stuff here.

I actually find it quite amusing comparing food in USA to food here. For example comparing nutritional labels I find online to labels here, American food almost always has a much higher fat content. I always enjoy food-related threads on ATOT because just seeing what Americans often eat makes me feel a lot better about my diet 🙂

we call that rashers in Ireland... 😛

and I've always called 'Canadian Bacon" back bacon, or peameal bacon...

No, that stuff is actual bacon, as opposed to the fat tinted with meat you guys have in strips. Not saying I don't like your bacon, it has its place, but what is pictured there is what I consider to be bacon.

Your stuff we call Streaky Bacon.
The stuff pictured is bacon. Well, the picture shows 6 rashers of bacon.

As for American Cheese, that is just lumped under processed cheese here. An English Muffin I'd assume is just a muffin, and a crumpet sure as hell ain't no muffin! 😕
