What do you order at Starbucks?

Found a couple gift cards the other day that I got years ago. Went online to look at the menu and am completely dumbfounded. I don't know what half this shit is. I've never even been to a Starbucks. Yet I see all these people walking around with Starbucks in their hand. What are they drinking?

How the hell am I supposed to know what to order????? I need advice from the pro's.

Large black coffee. They also have nice mugs and stuff, but waaaay overpriced.

I've been dragged to Starbucks by coworkers on occasion. There is nothing there I would buy. I don't drink coffee and everything else they sell is empty carbs.

I have the same problem. They have this long weird menu and it's impossible to find a "cup of coffee". Plain coffee. Coffee flavored coffee.

I love coffee and the smell of brewing coffee, but I can't stand to be near any Starbucks and the stench that emanates from their stores. It's smells like burnt coffee beans and stale burnt coffee. Do they way over roast their beans or what?

Their coffee always tastes burnt to me (I like dark brews). I suppose they are more known for their fancy, overpriced drinks that contain thousands of calories these days. If you're into that, enjoy. If you can't tell, I'm Not a fan of Starbucks.... Then again I don't own any apple products either.

but I sit there and people watch.

if u want a fancy drink, get a medium white mocha.
medium and large hot drinks have the same # of espresso shots.

if u want cold, get a iced large white mocha.
iced large = 3 shots of espresso for the same price as a hot large of the same type

I've been walking to Starbucks almost every morning with some coworkers for about 5 years now. Great exercise. Never bought anything. Best way to do Starbucks.

Coffee = they have light roast in the morning and sometimes dark. They always have medium roast (Pike Place is what they call it)

Americano = hot water with espresso. This is essentially coffee made with espresso beans instead of coffee beans.

Cappuccino = espresso with a little steamed milk added. Smaller than a Latte so the concentration of espresso is higher and tastes more coffee-ish.

Latte = espresso with a lot of steamed milk added. Tastes only slightly like coffee, predominantly milky taste. People add flavor shots to these like vanilla or pumpkin for example.

Iced coffee = cold brewed coffee, very smooth tasting served with ice, can be sweetened.

Frapuccino = basically iced coffee with ground up ice, cream, and sugar, and flavoring. Kind of like a 7 eleven slurpy but coffee flavored.

Mocha = espresso, hot water, and chocolate flavoring.

Drinks come in tall, grande, and venti, but just say small, medium, or large and they understand.

N/A. It's probably getting too cool for it now, but I sometimes get iced black coffee, which takes some of the bite off it. I agree they make very strong coffee, which is why I like it.
