You sound like a social libertarian and fiscal conservative.

I looked up social libertarian and, looking at their opinions, they seem to agree with most of mine. Looking at Fiscal conservatism, I suppose I agree with the idea of the government spending as little as possible. The current value of the national debt is rediculous.

I also support higher education standards. They should make education more competitive, like sports. (class rankings, rewards/benefits for doing well). Would make kids strive to do better. Nothing breeds excellence like competition.

How about kids with learning disabilities?

Special schools. such as the ones already in place, but give them more funding (and more to education as a whole, pay teachers more.)

Your views are pretty similar to my own.

I am a registered democrat because I voted for Kerry, but I don't associate myself with either party. I generally just refer to myself as a "moderate", and not as any of the defined parties.

total Libertarian.

I just want the gov'ment to guard the borders and kill muslums (Not that all muslums are bad, in fact, most aren't, but they make up most bad guys currently).

Other than that, STFU Goverment and let the free market reign supreme.

Don't listen to him. The right keeps trying to push the perceived center farther and farther right by labelling what most people would call "moderate" or "centrist" as "liberal".

Global warming != politics

It affects politics, but for the purposes of this thread your beliefs on global warming are irrelevant. You should reach a conclusion based on science, not politics. Your political beliefs will influence your thoughts on what we should DO about it.

Wouldn't that just make him a Republican? ;)

Not if the current administration is any indication.

Interesting point; maybe as legoman666 suggested, special schools.
If you want to make schools more like a capitalist economy, where staying competitive is critical, well, in the economy there isn't always special treatment.....oh never mind. I guess not. I was thinking that there isn't special treatment for certain businesses - they just go out of business. But I scratched that when I thought of entire industries which are subsidized by the government, or which receive government bail-outs.
For the most part though, if you don't stay competitive, yes, you will fall behind and go out of business. Those with learning disabilities could receive a metaphoric subsidy from the government.

But the rest would compete, and strive to be the best. Those who demonstrate exceptional performance (gifted students) should be singled out so that their talents could be properly nurtured, for a change.

A very sore donkey or a disappointed elephant.

I'd say most closely a liberatarian. You're essentially back and forth depending on the issue to go anywhere near liberal OR conservative.

I think most people are libertarian. At least the sane ones. I can't think of anyway I can support all the liberal policies nor reject completely the conservative ones.
